Large clamping unit for short cycle time
The MX650 + copes with different mold installation heights just as reliably as extremely heavy molds up to 13,500 kg. It thereby attains highly precise platen parallelism and even clamping force distribution, which form the basis for process-reliable production, using large molds containing a large number of mold cavities. The new size rounds down the clamping force spectrum of the MX series below the hitherto smallest MX 850. Optional bracing of the center platen on the machine bed relieves the pressure on tie bars and mold guides when stack molds are used. "This makes the MX 650+ the ideal solution for the packaging industry, which is strongly represented in the USA for instance", said Paul Caprio, President of KraussMaffei Corporation (USA). "Multi-cavity molds are used primarily for screw closures and sealing caps, and very short cycle times are demanded." The MX 650+ specially complies with these demands and offers high performance with a compact installation area.
High shot weight constancy in every cavity
The new machine is characterized by very high plasticizing capacities and an energy-saving electric screw drive. HPS-UN plastification especially for the polyolefins used in the packaging industry produces high specific melting capacities and uniformly high melt quality at low melting temperatures. The dynamism of the clamping unit is therefore fully exploited and the processor benefits from short cycle times, even molded part quality and long-lasting production security. For additional mold functions such as stack ejectors or core pullers, proven "high-flow" valves with a parallel function are available independently for every stack and ensure fast demolding of the parts. |
